Apple launched the new 16GB version iPhone through the Apple and AT&T stores in USA. The 16Gb iPhone is also available in Europe for the European carriers offering Apple iPhone.
Besides the 16Gb memory boost, the new Apple iPhone is not changed in any way. The news concerns the price: the latest Apple iPhone 16Gb will be sold in USA for $500 before taxes and subsidies and the 8Gb model`s worth is $400.
As expected, in Europe the prices for iPhone are higher, mirroring the taxes burden: O2 UK will be selling the new 16GB model for GBP 330, which is around EUR 440 or $650. Does it worth the 16Gb version the extra money? This is up to you to decide, if you choose the revolutionary iPhone, you should know that you will miss some basic phone features: MMS; Video recording; Custom ring tones; Voice dialing; Instant messaging.
