The LG Shine slogan is: “Born to shine” so if you’re looking for an eye-catching phone then the LG KE970 Shine won’t disappoint. The LG Shine is a slider intended as a fashion statement phone and one that will attract attention. The first thing that meets the eye is its gleam. LG Shine has large highly reflective surfaces, due to its shiny metal casing and the 2.2 Inch display that turns into a mirror when not in use.
After a few seconds of inactivity, LG Shine turns into a mirror, however, the mirror screen is difficult to see in sunlight. The construction is balanced with its brushed stainless steel covering and the slide action is well weighted, revealing a laser-etched keypad that lights up in blue. The press buttons are made of plastic although at first sight these buttons appear to be made of metal and of a nice size.

We did not like the that the ring tone volume is too low and the reception seems to be worse than average. The dial roller and two central buttons are not the easiest controls ever made. On the right side of the phone the buttons for the volume and the MP3 player have been placed next to the button for the digital camera. We note that the microSD card slot can support up to 2GB cards, so the iPod can be easily replaced.
