LG PRADA Phone

“The Prada phone is a unique, sophisticated and elegant mobile phone with the first complete advanced touch interface” LG Electronics. Launched at Milan Fashion week in February 2007, branded by PRADA and sold in the PRADA stores, the LG KE850 PRADA phone is the first model from LG to use exclusively the advanced touch screen together with the Macromedia Flash User Interface for access and control of the phone features.

In terms of design, this is a highly fashionable handset with a determined market niche: the fashionable and young segment. The PRADA phone costs 600$, same as Apple iPhone. Considering that LG has also recently launched Chocolate and Shine, the PRADA phone comes as a natural follow up of this trend. Actually, by teaming up with PRADA, the LG KE850 is not even branded LG, but PRADA, to underline the style and glamor.

Tech-talks

Considering the PRADA phone features, we can say that although this is not a smartphone, it does everything you can expect from a phone and even more. Staring the huge, PDA-like, 3 Inch, capacitive touch screen display (no stylus needed for data input), there is also a 2 megapixel Schneider-Kreuznach auto-focus camera, a document viewer, stereo bluetooth and WLAN incorporated in the phone. Looks like the beauty has brains, however the most demanding users might raise an eyebrow due to the lack of GPS and 3G for high speed data transfers.

The feather weight PRADA phone uses an intuitive and colloquial menu with lots of icons taking full advantage of the touch screen. The main physical buttons on the LG KE850 are the call send/end buttons and dedicated “clear” key. Having a special place in the phone arena, the LG PRADA unique phone plays its part as a high-fashion accessory.
