LG Voyager
Verizon Wireless announced the LG Voyager multimedia phone in answer to Apple’s iPhone. The LG Voyager most closely resembles the iPhone when it’s closed, but the touch screen hinges open to reveal a hidden Qwerty keyboard and another screen. Although the keyboard gives the phone extra bulk, LG Electronics parades this as an advantage to iPhone.
The LG Voyager WLAN also features a much faster internet connection, allowing the user to download multimedia content at higher speeds, a 2.0 megapixel camera with video capture, as well as a microSD card slot, with support for capacities up to 8GB. The Verizon clients who want a multimedia handheld will surely be interested in buying LG Voyager, still remains the question if this will affect the people`s interest for iPhone.

Hi All…
LG’s Voyager will not rival the iPhone if it’s only CDMA…
iPhone is GSM only you now?
HAHAHAHA…WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!?
HAHAHAHA… If only there were some way of instantly getting the answer to any question simply by accessing a worldwide knowledge base, without typing it here and looking like a moron.
Does anyone know when the Voyager will hit the GSM network? I really want one and I refuse to use CDMA.
Im getting my voyager in a week because of the high demand. I CANT WAIT BEEEEOTCH
Rayan - Do you actually know what those letters mean? I’m a communications tech; and since you made these readers think that you know what you’re talking about, I’d love to hear your interpretation of the operational and the functional differences, other than the I-Phone has a SIM chip.
Scepticon - at least you had the integrity to ask a question. You could ask Rayan and get a BS answer. OR, you could post a more specific question, knowing that someone with more knowledge than Rayan will answer you.
Gillian - If you want the phone, and it’s a CDMA phone, why would you refuse to use something that you say that you want? Have you been talking with Rayan?
M. Bizzle - By now, you already have it; as do I have mine (actually, I have 2 of them); and I hope that you like it, as well as I do.
I wouldn’t have an I-Phone for free; as to me the ability to change batteries, and to download separate ringtones and having a real “QWERTY” keyboard outweigh the fact that there’s no SIM chip.
WAIT. I just saw that this website was called GSM.com. Now I understand the mind set. BUT, the Voyager far outweighs the I-Phone in features and in value

Have a GREAT day; and I look forward to your reply.
HI I’m simply in love with the LG voyager mobile phone and I’ll love to own one.I’m in west Africa -Ghana and I want to know how possible it will be for me to buy one.
THE VOYAGER ROCKS MY SOX.. or should I say ROX my socks. haha.
The voyager is MUCH better because it actually has a camera unlike the iPhone. The Voyager is cheaper and has a keyboard which is alot easier to txt on. With the iPhone you have to use the touch screen which is hard to use because it always presses the wrong letters. I have had both phones and I prefer the Voyager over the iPhone by far.
OMG THE IPHONE SUCKS BALLS COMPARED TO THE VOYAGER MY FRIEND HAS THE IPHONE AND IS ALWAYS COMPLAINING AND COMPARED TO MY PHONE (THE VOYAGER) MINE IS WAY BETTER!!!!!! CINGULARS SERVICE ALSO QUITE CRAPPY THERE ARE SOOO MANY DROPPED CALLS I HAD TO SWITCH SERVICE TO VERIZON AMERICAS MOST RELIABLE WIRELESS NETWORK AND I HAVENT HAD A DROPPED CALL SINCE!!!:) I LOVE MYY SERVICE AND MY PHONE!!!! YOU SHOULD TOTALLY GET THE VOYAGER FOR VERIZON!!!!! (ITS WORTH THE $$$$)
Hey, I think I might be interested in getting the LG Voyager, but I’m not totally 100% sure. Does anyone have any thoughts on the phone? Likes, dislikes? Also, with the lock/unlock on the front touch screen, does it unlock itself a lot while in your pocket or purse? My last phone would unlock itself a lot and start pushing buttons in my pocket. Anyways, if anyone has any thoughts or likes/dislikes please let me know!!!
MY BUTT the iPhone does have a camera just fya. nothin personal just thought i’d make the correction for other peeps
unfortunatley i cant commit to a 3yr plan as they request in canada for the voyager. i really want the phone tho as its totally cool so i am going to go on the 1 year plan. after a year i will return to australia. does anyone know if i can use the phone again when i take it with me to aus, being a CDMA phone?
Does anyone know of a site or location that you can purchase a LG Voyager, new, used, refurbished cheaper than $400.00? My daughter has a LG rumour, less than a year, and it is a PITA!. She is on a contract, 3years.
Located in Toronto, Ontario, CA
The phone WILL unlock in your pocket and call someone, or answer an incoming call at the most inappropriate time. Like when your ex-wife calls and your on a date…
Other than that great phone.
