LG KC910 Renoir
LG KC910 Renoir is one of the high-end mobile phones that have been unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show last week in Las Vegas and it has been named after a French painter as it is stated to offer aesthetics-experts the power to generate great images.
The phone is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera and it offers a range of shot modes, including Beauty Shot (designed to remove spots and imperfections off people’s faces, eliminating the need of Photoshop to create more attractive portraits), Art Shot, (allowing users to create artistic images with effects like black & white, warm & cold exposure and more), Smile Shot, (which takes shots as soon as the camera detects a smile), Continuous Shot, (taking nine shots in a rapid succession), as well as the Panorama Shot and Face Tracking and Blink Detection.

According to LG, the specification list of the phone includes some features that can only be seen on extremely high-end standalone cameras, like Schneider-Kreuznach certified optics, auto and manual focus, a Xenon flash, sensitivity up to ISO 1600 and geo-tagging. The ISO sensitivity is meant to enhance the camera’s performance in dark conditions, as it determines the amount of light the camera’s sensor takes in.
Furthermore, the LG KC910 Renoir also includes Dolby Mobile, able to provide vibrant audio, Natural Bass, Sound Space for Headphones and High-Frequency Enhancer for the music listening experience. Additionally, the device has video playback capabilities, supporting DivX/Xvid video files, eliminating the need of specially-encoded videos to match the phone’s capabilities.
The LG KC910 Renoir has support for 3G, EDGE, HSDPA 7.2, GSM (850/900/1800/1900) standards, as well as for UMTS (2.1G/900), UMTS (2.1G/850) and UMTS (1900/850). It comes with a 1000 mAh LI-Ion (Inner Pack) battery that provides 320hr (2G) / 350 (3G) standby times and 220min (2G) / 220min (3G) talk times.
LG canU S100
After several days since the release of LG KC910 Renoir on the U.S. market and more than a year after the last canU handset was unveiled, LG Company has rolled out another phone from its canU series, this time in the form of the canU S1000. Those who don’t live in South Korea might not be too familiar with LG’s canU series, as the series is only available in South Korea.
Users may now enjoy its new 2.8″ WQVGA (400 x 240) with AM OLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) LCD screen able to rotate 180 degrees.
Other great features of this new handset are OZ service, mobile web and email capabilities, a built-in dictionary and much more.
Those living outside of South Korea won’t be able to get hold of this, since this 14.1mm thin LG handset is available on an exclusive basis for LG Telecom customers in attractive violet or silver colors.
