Motorola A1600 Gold
Motorola A1600 touchscreen phone has now a Gold edition in partnership with the French jeweler and watch maker Cartier. The design is identical with the other Motorola MING devices, while the item wearing the Cartier name is the business card holder from the sales package. Lately several cell phones gold editions are spawning, some of them acceptable while other are very kitschy looking dues to the crocodile skin or the jewelery. Is there a heard of cell phone addict millionaires on the loose?

The Motorola A1600 Gold looks have not suffered any major changes, other than the new shiny colors. On the specs side, nothing is added to the 2.4-inch 262K color QVGA touchscreen display, the same Linux based OS, 3 megapixel camera and the built-in GPS receiver which allows both real-time GPS navigation and geotagging of the photos taken with the built-in camera. Curiously, Motorola phone division seems to be getting out of the financial crisis. If Gold editions might save Motorola, then good luck Motorola! If you are interested in Motorola A1600, the device is already available for purchase, costing about 685 euro (865 US dollars), unfortunately only on the Chinese site of the company and not featuring 3G capabilities.
