Motorola u9

Even if Motorola U9 is not the official successor of the Moto PEBL U3, the design is not a very common one, U9 looks more like a MP3 player. The presence of the pop star Fergie in the U9 commercials was enough to get the attention of the numerous Black Eyed Peas fans.

The oval shape with round edges of the Motorola U9 clamshell clearly reminds us of the Motorola PEBL, but with an improved RAZR keyboard. Motorola U9 is not a 3G device, according to its specs it is a quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz mobile with GPRS and EDGE support. This does not mean that Motorola is not planning to release a U9 3G version, similar to the RAZR2 V8 and RAZR2 V9 which are the GSM/ 3G versions of the same device.

It looks like MOTO U9 is not going to belong to the ROKR nor the PEBL series, instead it will a fresh new device intended to be a surprise to the market. The price for U9 is estimated to be 350$. To load all your favorite tracks, you will need a 4Gb microSD card because the 25 MB of on-board memory is surely not enough.
