Motorola Z9
All of you who doubted the fact that Motorola cell phones division is in agony should now be convinced. The first photos of Motorola Z9 leaked in July 2007 and the specs surface just now, after 8 months, from an unofficial source. It could be 8 more months until Z9 will finally hit the shelves.
With things moving so slow it is clear that Motorola is facing serious problems and probably Z9 won’t really help Motorola out of its current predicament. Hopefully Motorola Z9 will arrive this summer after news of it has been floating around for what seems like ages, however its specifications could be considered outdated by then.

Tech talks
Due to the large 2.4 Inch QVGA display, Motorola Z9 stile looks familiar to the RAZR 2. The internal memory can be expanded to 8GB using a microSD memory card, while the 2 megapixels flash camera can be labeled as modest. CrystalTalk is in its features list and this is supposed to improve the sound quality in noisy environments.
The 3G Z9 slider will also come with a A-GPS, this is not a GPS hardware module instead a turn by turn navigation, most likely AT&T TeleNav GPS Navigator. In the surfaced leaflet are presented two variants of Motorola Z9 for US markets: one with quad-band GSM support and dual-band US UMTS support (850/1900 Mhz) and another with dual-band (850/1900 Mhz) GSM support and no 3G but GPRS/EDGE instead. There should be also a European UMTS version.
