HTC, founded in 1997 by Cher Wang, Chairwoman, HT Cho, Director of the Board & Chairman of HTC Foundation, and Peter Chou, President and CEO, made its name as the company behind many of the most popular operator-branded devices on the market. Now, HTC, one of the fastest-growing companies in the mobile sector that has achieved remarkable recognition over the past couple of years, has decided to unveil a new flagship device this spring called HTC Touch Cruise 09.
The Lolita has now been renamed the HTC Touch Cruise 09 and although it may bear the same name as the product launched by HTC early last year, this just-announced Touch Cruise seems to be a very different device.

From a hardware point of view, the new Cruise is very similar to the HTC Touch 3G. This includes a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, 256MB of RAM, a 2.8-inch displaying 65k of colours via QVGA resolution and the TouchFLO interface. Even their dimensions are almost identical, with the Cruise just a few grams heavier than the Touch 3G.
The HTC handset is a Windows Mobile (6.1) friendly one, with GPS navigation, 3G with HSDPA that will be sold at an estimated retail price of £440/ 460 euro/ 600 US dollars. this mobile phones strongest selling point is its GPS navigation which pack a new Advanced Navigation System along with the new HTC Footprints location-based service. This feature gives you the option to geotag all your photographs so you know exactly where you took a certain shot. you can geo-tag not only photos, but also sounds, access navigation on a turn-by-turn basis and mount the phone on a free car cradle that will arrive inside the retail box. Tap Go Home and the included software efficiently guides you to your destination. It even helps you locate services or avoid traffic jams on the way. AviPanel offers you a convenient one-touch interface to all the travel tools you need like GPS navigation shortcuts.
Joining the above, data transfer will be swift via 3G and HSDPA. Distant Internet connection is possible through WiFi and short range wireless connections to accessories is also possible with Bluetooth 2.0 plus AD2P. The device will also come with a 3.2 mp camera on board.
Rumors of the device have been floating around on the internet for some time but now, HTC’s global press release states that the Touch Cruise will be available “across all major global markets in spring 2009″.
