Samsung officially introduced 2 new mobile phones (Samsung F490 and Samsung P720) that will empty the European`s pockets because these handsets are programmed to start shipping in Q1 2008.
Samsung F490
Looks like Samsung F700 has a new brother with a wide 3.2 inch touch screen display and a 240 x 432 pixels resolution. Each gentle touch of the screen will produce a nice vibration feed-back.
2008 is the year that marks the movement to the de 5 MP standard, so all major players on the mobile phones market will have to include at least a 5 MP camera to keep up the pace. Samsung F490 follows this rule of thumb and embeds for the F490 a 5MP camera. Our expectation are high considering that the device will come at around 600 $.
Samsung P720
This is simply the Samsung P520 Giorgio Armani with Dual-Sim functionality. Starting with Samsung DUOS, Samsung has not found a market niche for the dual-sim models, but a highway. Momentarily it is the only major phone manufacturer to deliver dual-sim devices.
Some more features of the P720: 3 MP camera (no autofocus), QVGA touch screen and Wi-Fi. Samsung P720 will be available in Eastern Europe and Asia and will costs 500$.
