Nokia 6120 Classic

At first glance, there doesn’t seem to be anything very remarkable about Nokia’s 6120 Classic. It’s a fairly nondescript-looking candybar phone turned out in shiny black plastic offset with metallic trim. It looks like one of the mid-range workhorses that Nokia has always excelled at - solid, reliable, not terribly exciting but still capable of selling in huge quantities. No expensive materials have been used to make it a fashionable or prestigious device, it is its design that makes it a phone to appeal to a lot of people.

The Nokia 6120 Classic is probably the smallest and lightest Smartphone in the world, and has the lowest S60 launch price so far. The Nokia 6121 Classic is the same as the 6120 Classic, but they have slightly different 3G frequencies, so we’ll just refer to the 6120 Classic in this review, though all of the content in the review applies to both models.

Tech-talks

The 2 Inch screen is beautifully bright and clear, and carries 16 million colours - much more than the human eye can detect, but which reveals a beautifully smooth transition when watching video. Equipped with 3.5G for fast web browsing and downloads, this phone is smart enough to do most things you could ask of a phone.

The camera is rated at 2 megapixels and is nothing special, but the 6120 Classic does also support video calling. The phone is equipped with a music player that can handle all of the common formats and there’s a built-in FM radio too and stereo Bluetooth. The memory can be expanded to 2 Gbytes with a microSD card.
