Nokia 8600 LUNA

Nokia`s new luxury model, 8600 Luna, is a delight for the eye as well as for the tactile sense. The warmth of the smoked glass sliding cover is perfectly combined with the strength and smooth lines of the stainless steel case into a highly fashionable mobile phone. As well as with Nokia 8800, the attention to detail is the focus point here.

The design is similar to Nokia 8800 Sirocco, but way more futuristic. Nokia 8600 is a solid phone, a bit weighty (140g), but a good handset to hold in your palm. 8600 Luna is about looks, fashion and exclusivity. Its essence is best summarized by Nokia itself: “Inspired by moonlight it pulsates with allure. Birthed from a heritage of refinement, its every details embodies luxury”.

Tech-talks

In terms of features, Nokia 8600 Luna isn`t lacking, we only were a bit dazzled by the only 128 MB of available memory. Nokia 8600 Luna is indeed not about features, but the available memory can store only a few mp3`s, so make sure you take your iPod with you. The price is 700$ before taxes and subsidies, but if 8600 LUNA comes with a contract the price drops.

Besides the limited memory, the phone is well featured, the TFT 2 Inch display supports up to 16M colors, a high resolution of 240×320 pixels and is far better than the one from Nokia 8800 Sirocco. Another new improvement is the user friendly controls and especially the keyboard; it’s less fiddly and offers a good tactile feedback.
