Nokia 8800

Launched in 2005, Nokia 8800 is still a milestone for Nokia`s premium segment. Nokia 8800 is a classy and stylish model, its success made available a series of upgrades, followers of the same million dollar look and glamor: 8800 Sirocco Edition and 8600 Luna. The word that summarizes haw the phone looks and feels like is PERFECT.

Although Nokia 8800 is not a Vertu, it is a handset with a striking physical design and unmatchable style. Its exclusivity translates in a street price around 500 Euro (in 2005 the price was 800 Euro, Nokia 8800 being the most expensive model on the market). The main advantages of the phone are the sliding keypad and the protective stainless steel cover.

Tech-talks

The 8800 unique design is indeed unique, no other phone manufacturer adopted this form factor, so there are no copies or replicas on the market. When the perfect manufactured cover is closed there are no exterior buttons, only the reinforced scratch-resistant screen glass is visible. The Keypad is also made of stainless steel and offers a pleasant easy handling feel.

When it comes to features, there is no point in criticizing the 0.5 megapixel camera and th 64 MB of RAM available, because hi-tech is not what Nokia 8800 is about. Style is all that matters when you consider buying Nokia 8800. We can only appreciate the stereo bluetooth and the excellent display.
