More than 53% of the working Americans have been interrupted by a work related phone call or e-mail while in the bathroom, shows a recent survey commissioned by Nokia. The same survey relates that the work related issues invade also other areas of the Americans lives.
Working in the bathroom
24% of the above survey subjects allowed a phone call to interrupt while in the throes of passion, while 23% while on a date. That may be because 59% of the Americans never turn off their mobile phone. However 75% of them admit that technology plays a primary role in helping them balance their work and home life.
The Nokia survey, concludes that the work related issues sweep into their leisure time more often as personal matters affect the work schedule (62% versus 65%). The Work-Life balance is the theme of the “Life - In Balance” event, taking place at Nokia flagship stores in New York and Chicago.
The focus point of the event is the Nokia E71 model, considered to be the ideal tool that handles those difficult moments when the work issues step into the private life, or at least, when we allow them to.
