N97 - Nokia shifts direction
Nokia recently announced its latest crown jewel, the Nokia N97 handset. The device marks a new milestone for Nokia as it shows the Finnish phone giant entering the multimedia computer Smartphones main stream, where Apple, HTC, RIM and recently Samsung; share the market.
A bit thicker than Apple iPhone 3G, Nokia N97 will be available in 2009, at an estimated price of 550 euro before taxes and subsidies. The impact should be significant on the market, the only real question is what RIM, HTC and Apple wiil prepare to meet the competition.
