It is said that weight signifies quality. Vertu, Nokia’s luxury brand, proves that this saying is true.
The weight of the Vertu Constellation phone is slightly more than the Nokia 8800 but is better balanced.
Vertu Constellation has a special bevel keypad system giving it a perfect feel and a 262K color TFT display is to be covered by scratchproof sapphire crystal. As an option, you could order the keypad to be made of fluorescent ceramics used on space shuttles. As with all Vertu phones it has a concierge key located on the left hand side, which once pressed, dials the Vertu Concierge button that can arrange for anything from a restaurant reservation to a boat charter.
The Constellation is the first Vertu to have a four way scrolling system, which makes it a lot faster to use. It has Bluetooth, GPRS and EDGE making it the perfect phone for keeping in touch on the go. The phone has WorldMate software, which allows you to keep track of flights, different time zones and currency rates; it is very easy to use and it can be customized to suit your needs. The artistry is also very noticeable as the phone is hand made and is screwed together using miniscule screws.
The name of the phone as its design was inspired from the most successful post-war airplane of Lockheed - the Constellation. The designer of the mobile, Frank Nuovo, even included the propeller symbol into the handsets’ microphone aperture.

If you decide to buy a Vertu phone, than you should know you may choose between several handsets: Diamond, Signature, Ascent and Constellation. The most luxurious one is the eighteen-karat yellow gold-plated and eighteen karat white gold-plated phone that comes with over 170 diamonds along the edge. Than you may opt for a Vertu phone made of stainless steel with a different finish - the so-called “polished steel” and “satin steel” combined with luxurious leather that allows for different color variations - for example, even one in pink is available.
In addition, you may opt for The Vertu Constellation Rococo collection that has been created to celebrate Vertu’s tenth anniversary this year. The Rococo collection was inspired by the eighteenth century French art, fashion and interior design movement by the same name. The collection features intricate flower patterns embroidered into the leather on the back of the phone. The phone is available in noir, scarlet, ivory colors as well as an exclusive sapphire edition.
