Nokia announces two new music phones - Nokia 5320 XpressMusic Smart-phone uses the S60 platform Symbian, while the Nokia 5220 XpressMusic is the ‘light’ version of 5320 with a total thickness of only 10.5mm
Both devices come are redesigned version of the highly popular and ultra slim Nokia 5310 which Nokia managed to sell in masses and also 5320 and 5220 will reinforce the XpressMusic series as response to Sony Ericsson Walkman branded models.
Nokia 5320 XpressMusic
Nokia 5320 XpressMusic includes 3G/HSDPA support while offering the same music-oriented features: dedicated external music controls, stereo Bluetooth, stereo FM radio and 3.5mm regular audio jack and least but not last, a dedicated audio chip to boost the multimedia experience.
5320 brings a new feature: the Nokia Say and Play application which allows users to voice control the music player and also a novelty for the XpressMusic phones: the N-Gage mobile gaming platform with the 8-way navigational D-pad controller optimized for gaming. All these features will be available starting from 220 Euro before taxes and subsidies.
Nokia 5220 XpressMusic
The Nokia 5220 XpressMusic is a nontraditional designed candy bar based on the S40 user interface. It includes the XpressMusic music features such as dedicated music keys, stereo FM radio with RDS, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack. Nokia mentioned that 24 hours of continuous playback time shall be possible with a single charge.
The features list continues with an organic wallpaper that changes actively throughout the day, Opera Mini web browser, Yahoo! Go and Yahoo! Ready and support for Macromedia Adobe Flash. The estimated price for the Nokia 5220 XpressMusic will be around 160 euro before taxes.
