Samsung E590

Launched in Q2 2007 in collaboration with Jasper Morrison, Samsung E590 stars a 3 megapixels autofocus camera, audio player for multiple formats and also a FM radio. All these features turn Samsung E590 into a perfect device for the summer vacation.

If the back side of the phone is similar to that of a regular camera, the other side is split between an ergonomic keyboard and the TFT display. Compact and slim, weighting only 65g, E590 benefits of a screen which can display up to 265K TFT (220×220 pixels), the image automatically slides into horizontal view when the phone is used for pictures.

Some of the latest Samsung innovations can also be found in the E590 features list: the uGo interface and the Mobile Tracker function. E590 is a good all-rounder, with a simple and minimalist design. The camera is more than decent for a $250 (including taxes) phone.

Although the display is rather small and not one of Samsung`s best, E590 tries to make up for the 3,2 megapixels camera. It benefits of auto-focus, half-shutter and digital zoom. One interesting camera function is the video capture printing, allowing the printing of an image directly from a video clip.
