Samsung Memoir T929, T-Mobile’s first 8 megapixel cameraphone is a very promising device, soon to be revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2009. The Back side of the handset looks just like a camera and more on the experience of handling it, in the below video:
Memoir uses a Xenon flash and is capable of taking widescreen photos, plus, as far as the interface goes, it features TouchWiz, with a bunch of cameraphone-specific tweaks. This UI packs quite a bunch of widgets, that can be launched from a lateral sidebar. Among them you’ll find IM, a music player, email and online photo sharing.
Samsung Memoir T929 also uses a proximity sensor, that won’t allow your face to accidentally input commands while the display is touching it. Last, we learn that Memoir is a 3G phone, without WiFi support and that it can record 720 x 480 pixels video. More on the handset, at MWC 2009.
