Sony Ericsson K800i
The K800i is beautifully built and finished model, the metallic phone’s outlook is supposed to be elegant, not flaring, but recognizable. The design is traditional and a bit square, but very nicely finished and bit brick-like (it did not fit the standard holster, slightly bigger size was required). At the same time the phone fits very comfortable in the palm of the hand, ergonomics all round, overall the functionality is very good (the phone lacks WiFi). Battery life is excellent for a 3G phone.
Sony Ericsson K800i is capable of replacing a camera; a considerable feat, even though most of users will not want to rely on it for preserving precious memories. Not only is it the best camera phone around in 2006 and 2007, but it’s a good all-rounder. The back side of K800i shares many design features with the Cyber-Shot camera range and looks more like a camera than a phone considering the cover for the camera lens displaced upwards. The K800i has been around for a year now and you can get it on new contracts for free.

Tech-talks
The K800i is the flagship phone from Sony Ericsson, a complete phone with all you would expect from a phone-only handset, plus more. Everything from top to bottom has been done well – including the further-improved phone menu, stereo FM Radio with RDS, a RSS reader, even a sprinkle of stereo Bluetooth audio for an otherwise worthy MP3 player, built-in web-browser that is really great and sometimes it can replace Opera Mini without any disadvantages. Its imaging prowess is backed up by strong performance in the areas of calling and messaging and QVGA-resolution offered by TFT-technology that provides lossless readability when encountering direct sunlight.
3G enables 2-way video calling, fast music and video downloads and business applications such as email (although there’s no Office document viewer or WLAN). Incorporating a 3.2 megapixel Cyber-Shotâ„¢ camera with autofocus, bright xenon flash and picture stabilizer, K800i supports also PictBridge direct printing. The K800i’s camera is the best camera on a phone since its launch (3Q 2006) and up to now (4Q 2007), its superb quality of the optics really determines the quality of a camera. The K800i can be your digital camera and MP3 player as well as a mobile phone, the only downside is that it’s a bit heavy, brick like and depending on the region, no memory stick is supplied in the sales package.

no offense, but this phone looks like a brick
I totally agree with the review. As an K800i owner I can strongly recommend this device as an outstanding all-rounder. Furthermore it represents excellent value for money in many markets
