Sony Ericsson W760 - Global Walkman
Sony Ericsson launches another Walkman slider that should inherit the W910 success and popularity. Called also Global Walkman, Sony Ericsson W760 is a mid-range quad band GSM and tri band UMTS support cell phone with premium finishes.
Coming in three color versions (Rocky Silver, Fancy Red and Intense Black), W760 will hit the shelves soon. Unfortunately the price has not yet been announced, only the fact that in the sales package should be a 1GB Memory Stick Micro memory card is known. Measuring 15 mm in thickness, W760 is not the slimmest phone ever, however it offers a good grip and it feels comfortable in the palm of the hand.

Tech-talks
The 2.2 Inch QVGA screen can display 256k colors and the 3.2 camera has unfortunately no blitz and autofocus. Besides its Walkman functionality Sony Ericsson W760 benefits of a broad band HSDPA modem, a GPS module and the Wayfinder Navigator (Wayfinder Navigator needs a subscription) plus the preinstalled Google Maps applications.
The phone`s accelerometer (Motion sensor ) allows the screen auto-rotation and Shake control. The gaming support is based on the Java MIDP2 platform and W760 is shipped with “Need For Speed ProStreet”. Very interesting is the fact that the Shake control can be used to play the game. Typically to Sony Ericsson, the battery life is impressive: 9h of talk time, 20h for the music player or 2 weeks in standby.
